A Guide to Wedding Unity Sand.
Wedding unity sand ceremony is a form of marriage ceremony which is used to create unity among new couples by use of sand. The wedding unity sand ceremony is more popular than the traditional ceremony which used tapered candles and light. The tapered candles are lit during the candle ceremony where the bride and the groom lights the pillar of the unity candle symbolizing the commencement of their unity. The lighting of the candle is the same as the reciting of the unity sand. Sand usage differentiates the unity sand marriage from the traditional lit candle ceremony. Sand is very famous in the marriages as it is readily available and does not face the problems which may be encountered by lit candles. The lighted candle is more prone to distractors like the wind and rain therefore not reliable as it can be put out. Candles may not be reliable where outside events are conducted. The sand is poured by the bride and groom to symbolized their unity and love.
The beautifully decorated unity set becomes the center of memories once the wedding ceremony is over. It may display the most cherished days in the life of the bride and the groom. There is a large glass vase which contains two small style tubes. The mothers of the couples have the responsibility of filling the two small glass vases with sand. They then set down the large glass vase. Two of the colored sand are the d?cor of the wedding with the remaining one being white to represent the unity and peace of the ceremony. The large vase is poured with the white sand by the officiant. The white sand is poured to signify the start of a new relationship.
The groom starts the process of pouring the colored sand into the main glass. Immediately after the groom is through with the pouring, the bride will follow the procedure and will pour small portions of the colored sand into the large glass vase. The couple will then pour the sand simultaneously, in small bits creating layers of sand. They will then pour simultaneously when they get closer to the end of their sand in order to balance the layers. The pouring of the remaining colored sand into the large main glass vase simultaneously will symbolize the completion of their unity ceremony. When the colors blend, an image of the unity is portrayed. On completion of the sand pouring, the couple will cover the top of the glass vane with the stopper of the unity sand set. The officiant blesses the ceremony by use of a customized verse.
