In order to help us deliver news that will be most relevant to you, please tell us a little about yourself. Right now, my online life consists mostly of midterm status updates and the occasional outdoor run (come on Tavel — you can do better than that!). There is more going on (I promise!) but it’s time to keep some of that stuff to myself. Despite the obviously less appealing blog material, I am very much excited about where I am going, although slightly impatient to finally get to the part where I have a job again (2.5 more years…!). As I bury my head deeper into my anatomy books and force my feet to stay grounded on the familiar NYC pavement, I still feel surrounded by exciting possibilities. At some point, I guess I just decided to share less of them with the world.
Walk back through Mont-Blanc bridge and turn left. In the small English Garden (Jardin Anglais), there is the famous Flower Clock (L’horloge fleurie) (3) with the diameter of 5 metres, created in 1955 as a symbol of the city’s watchmaking. Walk along Promenade du Lac in the direction of the symbol of the city, the water jet (Jet D’Eau) which is turned on by hand every morning (9 ‘clock from Monday to Thursday and 10 ‘clock on Friday to Sunday from 16th September to 3rd November while the rest of the year it’s on between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; it is sometimes turned off if the wind is too strong). Jet D’Eau was built as a safety valve to control and release the excess pressure of a hydraulic plant at the Usine de la Coulouvrenière. In 1891 it was moved to its present location. The engines of the fountain pump 500 liters of water per second to the height of 140 meters.

Hi, an Indian travel agent said I could get a one way flight to India (Bangalore), but i really got the feeling he just wanted to make a sale. Does anyone know if that is true? Can a Filipino enter India without showing a return ticket? I do not want a round trip ticket because i may want to stay longer than one month; and rather not decide on my return date as of yet.

I’ve taken subway trains, and a few short train rides in Europe, but never Amtrak in the USA. I’d love to one day though! Axios Future of Work Steve LeVine reports on the biggest ricochet story in our lives: robots, artificial intelligence, jobs, and global economics.
