If you’re a Filipino and a holder of Philippine passport who likes traveling and exploring the beauty of the world, but hates the visa requirement to some countries, frown no more for you can still go to wonderful places without hassle-visa-appointments. The growth of the labor force is slowing as the U.S. population ages, and that means the U.S. economy could benefit from job re-entry programs now more than ever. Once these countries notice that all the tourist disappear and dont leave the country, after thier tourist visa expires, then they will make visa necessary to visit!!!!

Just to recap…we were driven to Jax train station by family then boarded the train to Columbia. We were picked up in Columbia by family members. We spent a few days then headed home from Columbia back to Jax, Florida. We were met at Jax train station by family and brought back home. Hope that answers any questions.

I actually enjoyed the trip, for the most part, and I was with my family (husband and 3 kids), and if I had it to do over again, I’d get a room with its own toilet/shower facilities-it is an expensive trip, and you will smell sewage … Read more

I began this blog in 2009 because I was unsure about a lot of things in my life but I knew two things: 1) I needed a change, and 2) I needed to write about it. Writing helped me process my thoughts and capture whatever moment I was in, even if that moment was foggy and hard to see through. As I began writing, I learned that other people were coming in and out of similarly foggy places, and that it was comforting for them to hear about someone else processing their journey. Just to recap…we were driven to Jax train station by family then boarded the train to Columbia. We were picked up in Columbia by family members. Sometimes in life, you just find yourself on a bike with a set of hills ahead of you. At that point, all you can do is start pedaling. So, that’s what I did. And man, this bike felt good! In some ways, I felt like the bike did the … Read more

Our favorite summer wines at Bistro Des Copains , the small French bistro I co-own in Occidental, California, are rosé wines from the South of France. These rosé wines are bone dry, vibrant, delicious and easy to drink. The drive from Avignon to Tain l’Hermitage takes about 1 ½ hours, so after breakfast at the hotel, we will leave Avignon at 9:30 and arrive at Tain l’Hermitage at about 11, where we have an appointment for a tour and tasting of the wines of M. Chaputier: one of the great producers of the Rhone valley. Chaputier produces wines from a great many of the Rhone appellations, including the great AOCs of the north. Chaputier farms the majority of acreage of the iconic hill of Hermitage as well as vineyards in Crozes Hermitage,Cote Rotie, Condrieu, Saint Joseph, Saint Peray, and Cornas.

The grape types are: Grenache, maximum of 15% Cinsault, Clairette white and Rosé, and 10% maximum of Picpoul, Calitor, Bourboulenc, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Carignan. Maceration is allowed typically for 12 to 24 hours. Minimum alcohol is 11%, and some sources indicate that there is a maximum alcohol level as well.

In ASEAN countries where we can usually enter without visas, … Read more

However, at a couple of tastings I was introduced to wines from the south of France, particularly the Rhône and Provence areas, and I fell in love. These were inexpensive, tasty, food-friendly wines that were not super complex but approachable. For years afterwards I’d recommend them to friends and family as a fun alternative to $10 Australian and Californian bottles. I think at that price point you get better quality from the casual regions of France, Spain, and Italy. Since that injury, I went from being able to run 10 minutes continuously to 4 miles comfortably, and fast. At the beginning of this year, I began to push my running boundaries and play around with the physical limits I thought I had. Armed with a new knowledge and understanding of the body and how to fine-tune it, I decided to sign up for the Brooklyn Half Marathon, and do whatever it took to cross that finish line. I went from never running more than 4 miles in October, to gradually pushing myself (with only 1 run weekly) to 11 miles. Like so many things I’ve experienced these past 5 years, I expected the race to be a challenge the whole … Read more

I went to Italy with my older sister and Grandparents. We were in Italy 7 days. And everyday was AHHH-MAZING. What a beautiful place. We went to Venice, Florence and Rome. I was impressed by this: When the fare is calculated online there are no extra charges tacked on at the end! $156 was $156 period. No bells and whistles and taxes and surcharges and this charge and that charge. It was exactly what was calculated and no more.

The Tourism Office will provide us with a guide for a walking tour of the high points of the City. There will be plenty of time to explore as well. If you are an early riser, check out the produce market at the Place de Richelme (open 9am-1230 pm) after breakfast at the Hotel. Aix has a long history as a Roman city (site of the famous Roman baths of Aquae Sextiae founded in 123 BC). According to a recent article in Barron’s , a modern rendition of the Roman spa is still in operation. If you feel you need a bit of pampering to recover from your journey, the spa offers a number of packages. Check them out at -/ … Read more
